I am a Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP, and offer NLP tools and techniques as part of my coaching practice. I am also a Professional member of the Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming
NLP is like a hidden gem of well-being. A lot of people say they have heard of NLP but don’t know what it actually is and how powerful a tool it can be for unleashing potential.
WE ARE ONLY ONE THOUGHT AWAY FROM ‘AS GOOD AS NEW’
Imagine you had a phone and played with it for a lifetime – loaded it with apps, dropped and scratched it a few times, and so on… Similarly on the outside we pick up scars and we age and on the inside we have lots of beliefs we have acquired.
If I said to you ‘you know that app you have had for 20 years’ – the one that is problematic, slowing everything down. How long does it take to uninstall that app?’
The answer is seconds – you just uninstall. It goes away immediately – it does not leave a scar. It goes away as if it had never been there.
With NLP, the same is true or us… We are only ever one thought away from a totally different experience and we are only one thought away from as ‘good as new’.
On the inside we can always reset and we can reset in an instant with NLP.
NLP helps people improve their communication, thinking, and behaviour. It focuses on understanding how our minds work (neuro), the language we use (linguistic), and how we can change our patterns of thought and action (programming).
At its heart, NLP consists of a series of powerful well-being tools and techniques that enable people to ‘shift’ or ‘change’ their thoughts and behaviours to help achieve their goals. I used NLP coaching techniques to help me change my story around alcohol and have been alcohol-free and living my best life for coming up to three years.

Almost everything we do is controlled by programs that runs in our unconscious mind.
Think of it as being like computer software.
The way we brush our teeth, the way we take a shower, the way we go to sleep, as well as the things we do such as a program to drink alcohol, a program to eat cakes, a program to eat meat etc.
We learn these programs – so therefore they can be unlearned and replaced with new programs.
I discovered all this when I studied to become an NLP Practitioner.
Many of our programs are not good for our well-being. They need updating or they need to be deleted from the system.
Through NLP I learned how to reprogram myself. My programs now include getting up early and going for a walk and not drinking alcohol!
