HOW CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS?

I learnt that to change my life, it is critical to change my story. To do this, I needed to change my beliefs. But how could I do this?

My main limiting belief, without one shadow of doubt, was that I was NOT 100% in control of my alcohol intake. I had some control but I could not stop drinking for more than a few days at a time. I drank most evenings and every weekend. I was overweight, unfit and short of breath, all caused by this one belief that I could not control alcohol. So, it controlled me.

I asked myself this question: ‘Would I run my computer on 35-year-old-software?’ Of course not.

I pulled out the old CD with my limiting beliefs on and scratched it so it will never play again, even if I ever try to reinsert it.

My identity is defined by who I believe I am and who I believe I am not!

My decisions are controlled by my identity.

My best thinking had got me where I was. The big question was, could I be somewhere better? Yes, I could.

I realised the secret is to understand that beliefs are not always facts! Just because I think it, doesn’t make it true!

WHAT IS COACHING – A CONVERSATION IN A SAFE SPACE

As well as unlocking people’s potential, enabling them to grow and flourish, coaching is a managed conversation, that supports sustainable change to behaviours or ways of thinking and focuses on learning and development.

A great coach: exudes a genuine interest in the client and their stories; believes in the power of change and transformation; has the ability to mindfully listen, ask intelligent questions and summarise; trusts their instinct; and shows awareness and emotional intelligence.

The only agenda is yours.

Coaching is all about creating a safe space for you to sit with your thoughts and develop a roadmap around a particular topic, goal or area of your life to allow you to take small steps towards that goal.

There may be periods of silence where you pause for reflection and whilst this may feel uncomfortable at first I welcome the silences as it is often where your thoughts can really gather momentum.

RESULTS FOCUSED

All our coaching programmes are results focussed.

During our Chemistry Call we will identify the goal areas you would like to work on and throughout the sessions your goals will be a central part of everything we do.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Each session is typically split as follows, but this can change…

  • INTRODUCTIONS  – 10%
  • GOAL SETTING / GOAL REVIEW – 15%
  • YOUR CURRENT SITUATION  – 15%
  • DEVELOPING OPTIONS – 40%
  • SELECT OPTIONS – 10%
  • ACTIONS & ACCOUNTAILITY – 5%
  • WRAP UP / YOUR KEY TAKE AWAY FROM THE SESSION – 5%

ZOOM

Sessions are mainly over Zoom and are booked into the diary on signature of our agreement.
