If you are a leader, founder, entrepreneur or senior professional, you already know this: pressure does not just test your ability. It tests your thinking.
You may be capable, experienced and successful, but still find yourself overthinking decisions, avoiding difficult conversations, questioning yourself, carrying too much responsibility or feeling like the person everyone relies on while privately wondering who supports you.
Shift Happens is my executive coaching programme for people in positions of responsibility who want to lead themselves and others with more clarity, confidence and control.

A focused one-to-one session for a specific issue, decision, challenge or transition.
This is ideal if you want clarity quickly, need to prepare for a difficult conversation, want to reset your confidence before an important meeting, or need to work through a leadership, business or personal performance challenge.
A deeper coaching programme for leadership development, confidence, identity work, behaviour change and performance under pressure.
This is ideal if you want to shift long-standing patterns, develop your leadership identity, improve how you communicate, manage pressure more effectively and step into the next version of yourself with a clear plan.
This is not fluffy motivational talk.
It is practical executive coaching for people who carry responsibility and want to operate at a higher level without losing themselves in the process.

I work with leaders, founders, entrepreneurs and senior professionals who want stronger performance without relying on stress, overwork or willpower.
You might be dealing with:
Stay calm, clear and decisive when the stakes are high.
Stop second-guessing yourself and trust your judgement.
Communicate with clarity, confidence and authority.
Quiet the noise and make better decisions faster.
Stop carrying what is not yours and lead with more energy.
Navigate change without losing your sense of direction.
Access confidence, calm and focus on demand, not by accident.
Using coaching, NLP, positive psychology and hypnotherapy-informed techniques, we work directly with how you think, lead, communicate and respond under pressure.
We may work on:
So instead of hoping you feel ready, you build the internal tools to lead from a stronger state.

A focused session for a specific issue, decision, challenge or transition.
Useful for:
In this session, we may use a blend of NLP, hypnotherapy-informed coaching and positive psychology coaching to help you step back from the pressure and see the situation more clearly.
NLP tools such as perceptual positions can help you look at a leadership challenge from your own perspective, the other person’s perspective and a more objective third position. This is especially useful before difficult conversations, negotiations or team issues.
Timeline work can help you explore how you got here, where you want to go, and the next step that needs to happen now.
Positive psychology coaching may include strengths work, values clarification and confidence-building exercises, helping you reconnect with what you do well and how you want to lead.
Where useful, light hypnotherapy-style visualisation can help calm overthinking, mentally rehearse a more confident response and build a stronger internal state before an important meeting, pitch, presentation or decision.
A deeper programme delivered over six sessions.
Useful for:
Across the six sessions, we can work more deeply on the patterns, beliefs, behaviours and identity shifts that shape how you lead and perform.
NLP may be used to challenge limiting beliefs, explore leadership values, work with conflicting parts of you, and use timeline exercises to build a compelling future direction.
Hypnotherapy-informed coaching may include guided visualisation, confidence-building suggestions, state management and future pacing, helping you mentally rehearse the leader you are becoming and the behaviours you now need to practise in the real world.
Positive psychology coaching can bring in strengths, purpose, gratitude, resilience, meaning and habit-building tools, so the work is not just about performing better at work, but becoming calmer, clearer and more intentional in how you lead your life.
Each session is practical, confidential and focused on real-world change.
The following are realistic examples of the kind of challenges executive coaching can help with. They are written as composite scenarios rather than named client claims.
A business founder had built a successful company but had become the bottleneck in almost every decision. The team relied on him, but he struggled to delegate properly because he did not fully trust others to do things to his standard.
The result was pressure, long hours, irritability and a sense that the business had grown, but his leadership style had not caught up.
In coaching, we worked on the beliefs sitting underneath control, perfectionism and responsibility. Using values work, perceptual positions and future pacing, we explored what kind of leader the next stage of the business required him to become.
The shift was not simply “delegate more.” It was learning to lead from trust, clarity and direction rather than constant intervention.
A senior professional had stepped into a bigger role and looked confident externally, but internally felt exposed. Meetings became over-prepared. Presentations felt heavier than they needed to. Feedback was taken personally, and small mistakes played on repeat.
We worked on confidence, internal dialogue and the meaning being attached to the new role. NLP reframing helped challenge the idea that confidence meant never feeling uncertain. Hypnotherapy-style rehearsal helped create a calmer internal response before high-pressure meetings.
The goal was not arrogance. It was quiet authority.
A leader knew a difficult conversation with a team member was overdue but kept delaying it. On the surface, the issue was communication. Underneath, it was conflict avoidance, fear of being disliked and uncertainty about how to hold the line without becoming too harsh.
We used perceptual positions to explore the conversation from multiple viewpoints, then mapped the outcome, language and state needed before going into the meeting.
The work helped separate being kind from being unclear. That is a big one for leaders. Avoidance dressed up as empathy is still avoidance.
A senior leader was still performing well, but the cost was rising. Sleep was poor, the mind rarely switched off, and the working day had started bleeding into everything else.
We looked at boundaries, nervous system regulation, values, identity and the hidden payoff of always being available.
The coaching focused on building a more sustainable way of performing, because success that quietly wrecks your health is not success. It is a bad deal with a nice job title.

This executive coaching is designed for people who operate in high-pressure environments and want to lead, decide and perform with more consistency.
This is for you if:
You do not need to be broken to work with a coach.
You need to be honest enough to know that what got you here may not be enough to take you where you want to go next.
The higher you go, the less honest feedback you often receive.
People may tell you what they think you want to hear. You may have fewer safe spaces to think out loud. You may be expected to have the answers, even when you are still working out the question.
Executive coaching gives you a confidential space to step back, think clearly and look at how you are leading, deciding, communicating and performing.
It helps you examine the patterns that are helping you, the habits that are holding you back, and the identity you are operating from.
Because at senior level, the real work is not just about doing more.
It is about becoming the kind of person who can handle more without becoming less of themselves.
Shift Happens is built around identity, performance and behaviour change.
I combine coaching, NLP, positive psychology and hypnotherapy-informed techniques to help you understand how you think, how you respond under pressure, and how to change the patterns that are no longer serving you.
The aim is not to turn you into someone else.
The aim is to help you become more of who you are when you are at your best.
I have spent more than 35 years in high-pressure environments across sport, media, marketing, sponsorship, business development and personal change.
I understand performance, pressure, positioning and people.
Through 9KM BY 9AM, I work with individuals who want to change their habits, improve their thinking, build confidence and live with more intention. Through my wider business background, I also understand what it means to lead, sell, communicate, present, negotiate and make decisions when the stakes matter.
That combination matters.
Executive coaching should not feel like a textbook with a pulse.
It should feel like a proper conversation that gets underneath the obvious problem and helps you make useful changes in the real world.
You may already be capable, experienced and respected, but still question yourself internally.
We work on the beliefs, internal dialogue and patterns that affect your confidence, presence and decision-making.
Leadership is not just what you know. It is how clearly you communicate, how well you listen, and how effectively you influence others.
We can work on your language, your presence, your confidence in difficult conversations and how you show up in meetings, pitches and presentations.
Pressure changes people.
Some rise. Some freeze. Some over-control. Some avoid. Some become reactive.
We look at how you respond under pressure and build practical tools to help you stay calm, focused and effective when it matters.
Sometimes the issue is not performance. It is alignment.
You may be successful but restless. Busy but not fulfilled. Productive but disconnected from what actually matters.
We work on values, purpose and identity so that your professional life feels more connected to the person you want to be.
Insight is useful, but behaviour is where the change shows up.
We identify the habits, routines and choices that need to change, then build practical steps that fit your real life.
Executive coaching can help you:
The point is not just to talk about change.
The point is to make change usable.
Because change is not always neat.
Sometimes it comes from pressure. Sometimes from discomfort. Sometimes from a quiet realisation that the old way is no longer working.
Shift Happens is about using that moment properly.
Not just coping with change, but creating it.

If you are a leader, founder, entrepreneur or senior professional and you know something needs to shift, book a chemistry call.
We will talk about where you are, what is happening, what you want to change, and whether executive coaching is the right fit.
Executive coaching is one-to-one coaching for leaders, founders, managers, entrepreneurs and senior professionals who want to improve how they think, lead, communicate and perform. It gives you a confidential space to work on leadership challenges, confidence, decision-making, behaviour change and personal effectiveness.
Executive coaching is for people in positions of responsibility. That may include company directors, senior managers, founders, entrepreneurs, professionals, sports people, performers and people stepping into bigger leadership roles.
No. Executive coaching can help anyone carrying significant professional responsibility. Many founders, entrepreneurs and business owners benefit from coaching because they often have fewer people around them who can give honest, objective feedback.
Leadership coaching usually focuses on how you lead, communicate, influence and manage people. Executive coaching often includes those areas, but may also include strategic thinking, identity, pressure, personal effectiveness, transition and the wider impact of your role.
Executive coaching can help with confidence, leadership presence, communication, difficult conversations, decision-making, stress, overthinking, imposter syndrome, career transition, purpose, motivation, habits and performance under pressure.
Some people use a single 90-minute session to work through a specific issue. Others choose a six-session programme for deeper leadership, confidence or behaviour change work.
Yes. Coaching is a confidential space where you can speak openly and honestly about professional and personal challenges.
Both, where appropriate. Coaching is not about telling you what to do, but it should still be useful, practical and grounded. I will ask questions, challenge assumptions, offer frameworks and help you find clear next steps.
